Lutron HomeWorks Lighting and Shades
Lutron HomeWorks turns layered lighting and natural daylight into a calm, consistent part of the architecture. Wiretech coordinates loads, fixtures, keypads, shades, panels, engravings, and scenes from design through final tuning.
Local design, programming, and support
Lighting control planned with the architecture, interiors, and electrical system.
Wiretech connects design intent to load schedules, panel capacity, fixture compatibility, keypad details, shade power, programming, and final scene tuning.

HomeWorks Makes Sophisticated Lighting Feel Simple
A luxury residence may contain hundreds of lighting loads, several fixture types, motorized shades, exterior zones, and many ways to use each room. HomeWorks organizes that complexity into named scenes and elegant controls instead of expecting the homeowner to adjust every circuit individually.
Wiretech designs the control experience around the home. Cooking, Entertain, Art, Evening, Pathway, Goodnight, Away, and Vacation scenes can coordinate lighting and shades across one room or the entire property while manual adjustment remains intuitive.
- Whole-home lighting scenes and schedules
- Centralized and distributed load control
- Architectural keypads with custom engraving and finishes
- Integration with Crestron Home, Control4, climate, audio, and security
Lighting Design Begins with Layers and Compatibility
Ambient, task, accent, and decorative lighting serve different purposes. We work with the architect, lighting designer, interior designer, electrician, and fixture suppliers to define which loads should be controlled together, how low they need to dim, what the fixtures and drivers require, and where control hardware belongs.
That work becomes a coordinated load schedule, panel plan, keypad plan, shade-power plan, and control narrative. Resolving it before rough-in reduces wall clutter, protects dimming performance, prevents late electrical changes, and leaves the home easier to commission and service.
Ketra, Tunable White Light, and the Rhythm of the Day
Ketra and other compatible tunable-white solutions can change intensity and color temperature together, allowing selected spaces to feel crisp and energetic during active hours and warmer and quieter in the evening. The strongest result comes from using dynamic light where it matters and coordinating it with the fixed-output fixtures throughout the home.
Wiretech develops time-of-day behavior with the homeowner and design team, then tunes the scenes in the finished rooms. Materials, artwork, natural light, furnishings, and personal preference all influence how the final levels and color should feel.
- Tunable-white and warm-dim lighting strategies
- Daylight-aware schedules and astronomical events
- Low-level nighttime pathways
- Scene tuning in the completed home
Automated Shades Complete the Daylight Plan
Motorized roller shades, drapery, and specialty window treatments can manage glare, privacy, heat, ultraviolet exposure, and views without disrupting the architecture. Lutron lighting and shades can respond together so natural and electric light feel coordinated throughout the day.
Wiretech reviews window schedules, pocket dimensions, fascia and trim conditions, fabric openness, side channels, power, wiring, group behavior, and control locations before the windows and ceilings are finished. We then program everyday scenes and train the household on both automatic behavior and simple manual control.
Common questions
Is Wiretech a Lutron dealer and installer in St. George?
Yes. Wiretech designs, installs, programs, and supports Lutron lighting and automated-shade systems from our St. George location for projects across Southern Utah.
What is the difference between Lutron HomeWorks and RadioRA 3?
HomeWorks is Lutron’s flagship whole-home platform and is commonly selected for larger or more design-intensive residences that need broader control, panelized options, premium keypads, shades, and deep integration. RadioRA 3 can be an excellent fit for smaller or more focused projects. Wiretech selects the platform after reviewing the plans and scope.
Can Lutron lighting integrate with Crestron Home or Control4?
Yes, when the systems are properly designed and commissioned. Wiretech coordinates the lighting database, control platform, scenes, schedules, feedback, keypad intent, and homeowner training so the integration feels consistent.
When should Lutron lighting and shades be planned?
Before electrical rough-in and before shade pockets, windows, and ceilings are finalized. Early planning protects panel space, load wiring, fixture compatibility, keypad locations, shade power, pocket dimensions, and coordination with the design and construction teams.
