The brief

Make advanced technology feel native to the architecture.

This residence called for serious performance without visual clutter. Wiretech coordinated the Control4 interfaces, Bang & Olufsen systems, Samsung displays, Origin Acoustics speakers, automated window coverings, network, wiring, and equipment locations around the rooms and finishes rather than treating them as separate product installations.

The result is a home where entertainment, daylight, room control, and infrastructure work together quietly. Bang & Olufsen is celebrated where it belongs, while Origin Acoustics architectural speakers, Samsung The Frame and The Terrace televisions, and the supporting infrastructure recede into the rooms and architecture.

One familiar experience

Control4 brings the rooms together.

The Control4 interface gives the household a consistent way to manage entertainment, room scenes, lighting, climate, and shades. Touchscreens, engraved keypads, handheld controls, and mobile access are organized around the way each space is actually used.

Interface locations and finishes were coordinated with the interior architecture, while the controllers, source equipment, network, and distribution hardware remain centralized and serviceable behind the scenes.

Daylight, privacy, and the view

Automated shades make the glass livable.

Large windows are central to the home’s connection with the desert, but they also introduce glare, heat, and privacy needs. Automated shades were planned as part of the architecture and coordinated with Control4 so the rooms can respond without a collection of separate remotes.

Shade positions can support television viewing, protect the interiors, soften direct sun, and preserve the view when conditions are right. Power, pockets, fabric, grouping, and controls were resolved as one system.
